Our story

It all started at Land Rover…

Who knew going to work would end up finding us a husband and wife! 😂

Since then, life has been anything but quiet. We’ve had two gorgeous children together and, along with our four other amazing children, somehow ended up with a crazy, chaotic family of eight!

Six kids, two dogs and plenty of madness later, we’re finally making it official. We wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

By car

Scorton is a few minutes from the A6 and M6 Junction 33, just north of Garstang. Follow the signs for Wyresdale Park as you arrive.

By train

The nearest mainline stations are Lancaster and Preston, both roughly 20–30 minutes away by taxi.

Taxis

Scorton is rural and taxis get booked up — we strongly recommend pre-booking your journey home for midnight.

What time should I arrive?

Guests are warmly invited to arrive from 12 noon. The celebrations run until midnight.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately not — we’re only able to accommodate the guests named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring my children?

We kindly request no children, apart from immediate family. We hope this gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the day.

Where should I stay?

The Priory in Scorton is the closest, but it only has 9 rooms, so book early. There are plenty of other options nearby — see “Where to Stay” above.

I have an allergy or dietary requirement — what do I do?

Just include it on your RSVP — there’s space for each person on your invitation — or drop Frances or James a message.

How do I get home?

The venue is rural, so please pre-book a taxi for midnight, or arrange accommodation nearby.
